Alhamdulillah we have now reached into a conclusion. The women's entering to mosque is not something to be encouraged. Instead it should be disencouraged because the messenger of Allah sallahllahu alaihi wasallam disencouraged Ummu Humaid (r)when she asked permission. And at the time of travel it is different. But now what we see from certain corners of the community is that they encourage women to enter mosques even though they are at their homes. And they raise the slogans of emancipation of women and the like. More over they seek tht help of the feminists also to demolish the idealogies of Islam concerned the women.   Salam   5/5/2008
Yes, if you study about all the hadeeths about women praying in masjid, we can come to a conclusion that women praying is neither encouraging nor discouraging. Better perform in their own houses. But some circumstances like during working outside, travelling etc they can perform in Masjid. We should not prevent them. Bcz Prophet Mohmed (SA) has not prevented them to perform praying in masjid. Moreover, once Mohmed (SA) allowed or agreed anyting to do we can follow it until YOumul Quiyama. It will not be for a certain period, it will be forever.   shabeeb   5/5/2008
shabeeb yes it is true prophet saw initally allowed women to enter masjids. the hadiths you put up are refering to that. islam at that time was in the inital stages. islam was being taught to the people. like how rules of alcohol and purdah which were gradually made strict, similar was the case of women going to mosque. as for makkah and madinah, the women there are those who had come for pilgrimage not for particluarly praying in the mosque. nobody says that if a women enters a masjid it will became impure.   warea   5/1/2008
The evidences show that, for women, it is better to perform the prayers at home than at Masjid. The messenger Sallallahu alaihi wasallam disencouraged woman who asked the permission to go to Masjid. That is enough for a Muslim woman. No need to look into the women who want to come to public places.   Salam   4/5/2008
hadeeth1."mohamed rasool (sa) had shortened surat while praying because the babies who came with their mothers were crying and rasool kareem (sa) heard the cry and completed the salat so fast to give the mothers relief". hateeth2. Mohmed Rasool (SA)told "the best row for men is the first row and the best row for women is the last row". From these 2 hadeeths it is clear that women had performed their Salat behind Rasool Kareem (SA) in Masjid Nabavi.   shabeeb   4/2/2008
There are many hadeeths of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wassllam which disencouraged the women to go to Masjid for prayers. When Ummu Humaid asked the permission to come to the Masjid he replied her it is better for her to keep the inner parts of the home to say prayers. One woman says her prayer at home and another at Masjid. which is better? I believe she will get more reward if she says her prayer at home, because the messenger Sallallahu alaihi wasllam encouraged woman to keep home while prayers.   Abu Tasneem   4/2/2008
Why the Ulamas are only against local people for going salat to M. Haram & M. Nabavi. and y dont they prevent the other women. they have equal obligation to all muslims. more over most of the gulf counntries are not preventing women to pray in majids. there is one hadeeth "prophet mohmed (sa) ordered women those who were parying behind men should not raise their head from the sujud until men are stand up for the next rakaa, because there might be a chance to show their ourath(nude)". y u know most of the sahabaas are poor and wearing very short dress". so it is clear that women had performed their salat behind men in masjid nabavi.   shabeeb   4/1/2008
But I have heard that the Ulamas of the KSA are against the going of local people to the Masjidul Haram and Masjid AlNabavi. And they take many Ahaadeeth of the Messenger of Allah Sallaallahu alaihi wasallam as evidences for their argument. And they have presented many evidences for the importance of keeping home by the women at the time of their Salat. And another doubt is that if the women now come to the Salat to the mosques of Makka and Madeen can we take it as an evidence?   Salam   3/31/2008
you can find in tv, in makkah and madina there is ladies are performing 5 times prayer. and it is also witnessed by all people who performed the hajj   shabeeb   3/25/2008
