Keep Wudhu

Keep Wudhu (Ablution) all times

Wudhu is not mere cleaning of particular organs of the body. But it has a deep rooted significance on one’s life. It is considered to be luck to pass this world with Iman and Wudhu. That is why many Saliheen (pious people) prayed to Allah to give them the luck to die with Iman and Wudhu. Basically Wudhu is an external cleaning. But its effect spreads to the mind as well.  The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم told a lot about Wudhu.

The Messenger of Allah

“If one Muslim slave performs Wudhu and washes his face all the sins done by his eyes will fall from his face with the water (or with the last drop of water). And if he washes his hands, all the sins caught by his hands will fall with the last drop of water. If he washes both legs, all the sins his legs walked on will fall with the last drop of water, and thence he will come out clean from all the sins”

Whudhu has a lasting effect on one’s future. The Messenger of Allah

“ Verily, my Ummat will be called in the Day of Judgment : ‘O you who are white in face and hands and legs because of the performance of Wudhu!’ So if one can spread the washing of face and hands and legs, let him do that”.

It is recommended to a believer to keep Wudhu all times. For the constant keeping of Wudhu one needs a good effort. He should be away from the invalidating things of Wudhu. To keep away from the invalidating things, one’s physical feature should be in good condition. The stomach should be with normal order. Otherwise, something may come out now and then. For keeping the stomach in normal condition one should control his diet system in a healthy way. And we know that the disorder in the diet system is the main reason for many illnesses.

So Wudhu has not only a spiritual value. But it has some material values also. The continuous keeping of Wudhu makes one healthy externally and internally in body, and spiritually in mind.

We know modern health scientists propose the habit of washing one’s hands as many times as possible in a day. And they say it will be useful to check the infection of deceases. So in many ways Wudhu helps us to better our life here and hereafter.
